Certainly there are many worthy organizations. Here are some reasons to make an investment in ministry at Trinity Baptist Church.
Multi Cultural - Trinity has been a unique family of faith for many years. We have been racially integrated since the mid-1960's. Trinity is committed to being a multi-cultural church.
Justice - Trinity has also been a beacon for justice. We are currently active in the BUILD organization. We link with 18 other faith bodies in Lexington through BUILD. BUILD targets instances of injustice and asks for specific changes. In its 6 year history, BUILD has made a real difference in a number of community problems including:
- Affordable housing
- Health care for the uninsured
- Code enforcement
- Drug treatment in jails
- Police/Community relations
- Fayette County Public Schools
- Public Transportation
Exceptional: We continue to reach out to those who are often overlooked. Trinity is blessed by exceptional adults which is our largest Sunday School class.
Quest Farm & Bob Brown House: We support Quest Farm and Bob Brown House. At Trinity these adults are a blessing to our church family. Currently several people from Quest Farm are coming every Thursday to help clean the sanctuary.
Internationals: We are building a ministry with friends from around the world. Internationals in record numbers are now living in Lexington, KY. We believe our church family is enriched as we learn from people around the world.
Children and Students: Many of the students and children we are reaching come from single parent homes. Many of these young people are in great need of direction and hope for the future, we welcome being part of what God is doing in these lives.
Faith in Action: At Trinity we also believe faith needs to be in action. We have the largest Meals on Wheels ministry in Lexington, KY. Individuals from Trinity and other churches volunteer their time and energy to deliver hot meals to individuals who are unable to prepare food for themselves. VAlli Givens capably leads this effort.
