In the Meantime….
When I came as interim pastor, I said that I didn’t want this time to be a “holding pattern.”
While the church searches for her new pastor, the church also needs to do the work of the
church.
One of our “works” is a revival. Our theme is “Revive Us Again.” Revival means
“to live again”. We can exist but not really live. To be alive is to experience intimacy
with God and to be alive to be God’s presence in our world. God didn’t “….so love the
church …” God so loved the world and that’s our mission.
Revival services are March 25, 27 and 28. We can’t wait to prepare. Now is the time
to pray, to invite others, and to ask ourselves about how we need to be closer to God
and God’s mission.
In preparation, Dr. Bo Prosser will be with us, March 17 – 18. Bo’s subject is,
“Beyond Outreach: Building Relationships That Matter.” Bo is one of the most
effective teacher/preacher that I know. Pay attention for more details…..but save
that Saturday and Sunday morning.
Trinity Baptist has a rich, unique history with outstanding ministers. I’m grateful.
But I’m also expectant about the future. Let’s “live again.”
