Sunday School News:
We thank Dr. Chuck Bugg for the October challenge to stretch and grow! We extend appreciation to all of you who made the effort to contact new and previous members of your classes. Now let us look ahead to continuous challenges to build upon and strengthen our Sunday School. We have proposed and will soon be starting New Members Orientation Classes! These classes will be for members who have joined Trinity during the 2011 year and for members who will join in the future. They will be on-going classes and can be completed over a period of 7 weeks. The classes have several broad purposes.
1. To acquaint new members with basic doctrines and articles of faith in the Baptist church; among which are the two ordinances: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
2. To acquaint new members with an overview of our Sunday School, and church staff, and ways they can utilize their spiritual gifts in church ministry.
3. To facilitate bonding among the recently joined members, as well as the church membership, thereby minimizing early member drop out due to feelings of being disconnected or not belonging.
We have celebrated the past, now let’s embrace the future in an on-going challenge to ’go, grow and glow! Remember the necessity of prayer.
Meet with me and others in Room 19, Lower Level, 9:10 – 9:20 each Sunday morning.
